Job Description:
- Ciena has been the global leader in networking strategy for more than 25 years, and our technology has been part of the critical infrastructure running within the most sophisticated companies in the world.
- We are hiring Software Engineer(s) who could participate in product/feature development, as part of a team.
- They will be responsible to design, develop and support software specializing in different NMS/EMS layers to support network elements using multiple technologies like DWDM, Optical Switches and Multi-Service edge products.
Requirements:
- Undergoing MCA or B. Tech. in Electronics and Communication or Computer Science or IT or similar.
Skills
- Strong analysis, coding, testing, and documentation skills.
- Proficient in Object Oriented Concepts, data structures, algorithms.
- Knowledge of Operating system concepts.
- Knowledge of Networking Concepts.
- Hands-on in any one or more of the following:
- C/C++
- Java/JavaScript
- Python
- JavaScript/HTML/CSS/JQuery
- Scala
- (Academic project in any of these or related areas would be a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate/support release/design lead on successful delivery of release/features.
- Implement code according to the design while meeting project timelines. Compliance with organization-wide adopted conventions and procedures (architecture, code review, etc.) and deliver quality work to testing groups.
- Provide inputs in the detailed design.
- Development and execution of unit test cases.
- Support the technical leadership to solve and fix defects.
