Job Description:
- As a Design Technologist Intern, you will get mentorship from technology experts.
- You’ll be part of a team using the latest tools and techniques to take projects from ideas to reality.
- You’re eager to learn how to take a human-centered approach to development: finding relatable, new ways to use technology, helping others work within technical limits, and building user experiences that improve people’s lives.
- The internship is open to students pursuing their last year in college, recent graduates, or anyone who wants to switch careers to technology. We especially welcome women wanting to start/restart their careers.
We want you to have:
- Strong knowledge of data structure and algorithms.
- Understanding of programming fundamentals, like OOP, functions, asynchronous execution, and source control tools
- Familiarity with web application development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Openness to new ideas, an eye for detail, and a desire to work with designers
- Some experience building responsive interfaces, working with user events, manipulating UI elements, and applying animations/transitions
- A willingness to learn, explore, and collaborate
It would be a bonus if you had:
- Familiarity with building web applications using a modern web framework like reactjs, angular, or Vue.
- Familiarity with prototyping and creating proof-of-concept demos
- Familiarities with different flavors of technology, like ML, IoT, or AR/VR
