Requirements:
- Python – Experience hands on using ML Libraries and algorithms used in forecasting (ARMA, ARIMA, VARMA, Prophet, LSTM, Differencing methods, missing value imputations)
- Experience in applying machine learning to time series pricing datasets
- Familiarity with time series forecasting algorithms and concepts
- Knowledge of forecasting studies used in procurement and logistics business like commodity price forecasting, estimation of shipping costs, etc.
- Good understanding of inferential and descriptive statistics
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills and can articulate complex technical issues for a wide range of audiences.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph. D. in any engineering, or related disciplines with relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Own and design statistical models, evaluate differentiating features and deploy forecasting solutions keeping eye on bringing business value for intelligent price prediction applications.
- Take ownership for the entire forecasting data science workflow including well defined, highly complex project scoping, exploratory data analysis, model development and monitoring.
- Provide expert thought leadership in your space and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
- Planning and implementation of data engineering and data quality assurance
- Author and maintain data science workflows
