Infosys senior employee jumps from the 10th floor of the building
A 28-year-old techie is alleged to have committed suicide by jumping from the 12th floor of his building today. The incident took place around 2 pm. At Infosys, he served as Senior Systems Engineer.
Prasoon Kumar Jha, a resident of the Laurel Society in Wakad and a native of Darbhanga, Bihar, was identified by police as the deceased. According to Senior Police Inspector Dr Vivek Mugalikar, Jha worked for Infosys at the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi. Since a few years ago, he has lived in the Wakad area.
The police team rushed to the scene after receiving a call about the incident. The body has been taken to a hospital for medical examination. Currently, there is no information about the exact cause of the suicide. Wakad police are conducting further investigation.
Most offices are operating in hybrid mode due to the Post Coronavirus outbreak, where people are working from home. Employees who work on critical infrastructure are only a small percentage of those who attend offices.
